Dear friends and colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our Joint Meeting 2022, which in full name is the 15^th Joint Meeting of Chinese-Japanese-Korean Ophthalmologists. And it will be held on September 11^th, 2022 as a virtual meeting in conjunction with the CCOS2022 (the Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society).

Thinking back to 2008 when we established the Joint Meeting upon the joint efforts from the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS), the Japanese Ophthalmological Society (JOS) and the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS), we still feel full of passion. This year marks the 15th consecutive year that we have organized this Joint Meeting, and we are proud of the positive changes we have made in these 14 years, through our barrier-free team work among the three countries.

Our Joint Meeting aims to promote development in eye health through the exchange of new technologies, research and practice, as well as through capacity building especially for young ophthalmologists. While sticking to our original intention, we have been trying to optimize the content and approach of our Joint Meeting. For example, since two years ago, we have been paying more attention to eye diseases which represent the biggest impact in East Asia. We hope to activate the sharing, learning and collaboration among the practitioners in eye care, and we believe such ecological development of ophthalmology industry will help us to overcome challenges in Asia and even around the world.

Join us in the Joint Meeting 2022 for thought-provoking discussions on latest developments in ophthalmic innovations. We look forward to experiencing this memorable meeting together with you!
